FAQ – Selling Your Books to Us

What types of books do you accept?

We accept:

• Clean, non-yellowed, and fairly new books

• Books without any missing or torn pages

• Novels, picture books, and (latest editions) curriculum books

• Books must be clean, with any written text erased (names or small writings on the front page are allowed)

Are there any books you do not accept?

Yes, we do not accept:

• Books containing any LGBTQ content

• Rare or antique books

How much will I be paid for my books?

We offer:

• $1 to $5 per novel (depending on the novel) 

• $1  to $2 per chapter books and picture books. 

• Curriculum books (latest edition) EUC – 20% to 30% of the retail value

Picture Books 

Franklin Books -$2 EUC, $1.50 UC

Magic School Bus Books - $2 EUC, $1.50 UC

Mo Willems books - $1.50 EUC for single story books. $3 to $4 for the biggie books

Chapter Books

According to Humphrey- $1.50 EUC

Magic Tree House books - $1.50 EUC

Novels

Marguerite Henry Books - $2 EUC

Dear Canada, I am Canada books - $3 EUC

Books from Ambleside Online Grade 5 and above - $3 to $5 EUC depending on the original cost of the books. 

How will I ship my books to you?

Please send us clear pictures of the books you wish to sell. Our team will review the images and confirm which books we will accept. 

Note that a minimum of 25 books is required to arrange shipping. A shipping charge of $15 will be deducted from your final shop credits. 

Once we approve the books for shipping, you’ll need to pack them securely in a box. 

Please provide us with the dimensions and the weight of the box. 

Once we receive these details, we will send you a shipping label. 

You will then be required to drop off the box at your nearest designated drop-off location.

How will I be paid?

Once we receive your books, the first $150 will be made in shop credits in the form of discount codes valid for two years.  Any amount more than $150 will be paid in cash as an e-transfer.
